NPSM
NPSM (National Pipe Straight Mechanical) is a parallel (straight) pipe thread standard used primarily in low-pressure fluid and mechanical applications. Unlike NPT (National Pipe Tapered), NPSM does not provide a sealing function by itself. Instead, it relies on a sealing gasket, O-ring, or mating tapered seat to prevent leaks.
