Mansonry drills is designed for drilling in brick, concrete, plaster, tiles and similar materials. Masonry bits can be identified by the fact that they are provided with a 'hard metal plate' in the lead. They seem not particularly sharp compared with other types of drills. The hard tip makes the drills pound its way into the material by percussive drilling. But the drills can be used without impact in materials like plaster. The drills are available in many versions and colours, but they are ususally blank.
